This Halloween Coffin Candy Holder is a super fun crafting project that can be made with products from the Monster Bash Suite from Stampin’ Up!
Sometimes it’s fun to give treats to others and Halloween is the perfect time to do just that. These little coffins make the perfect carrier for a few pieces of candy. Give them to co-workers, teachers, or fellow choir members. Your older child can give them to their friends, too. The Halloween Coffin Candy Holder is quick and easy to make.
The first part of the project is the coffin. The Coffin Treat Boxes from Stampin’ Up are a set of 12 black coffins that you assemble with some adhesive. For this project, we are going to do some decorating before we put the coffin together.
The first thing we are going to do is stamp the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder with some Delicate Golden Glitz
Don’t worry…The ink easily washes off with some water!
Now lay one side of the coffin die cut on the folder and run it though your die cutting machine.
Repeat with the other side.
This is what it will look like. Isn’t that cool!
Now it’s time to put the coffin together.
I used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the pieces together. The coffin is clearly scored and very easy to assemble.
Now we are going to use one of the corresponding frames from the Ornate Frames Dies to cut out the sentiment. Use an embellished frame die to cut a frame out of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
Attach the sentiment to the Gorgeous Grape Frame with Stampin Dimensionals. It is important to attach these to each corner because you will need to slide the ribbon under the sentiment
Take some Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon, slide it under the attached sentiment then cut enough so you can tie a bow on the side of the coffin.
And that’s it!
You have a super quick and easy, but beautifully decorated Halloween Coffin Candy Holder to give to friends!
